Where are the human values?
In our society,
people are very diverse. Some are white, some are black, some are tall, some
are short, some are smooth, some are curly. Despite these differences, the
value of an individual does not depend on the appearance of these shells. If
so, where is the human value? Our Khmer ancestors referred to the essence or
value of people: "People take the words of an elephant, take Khmer ivory,
compile it as a word of admonition, Noun, the essence in bamboo, the essence
outside the essence, people refer to the truth." Human speech is so
powerful it can make others laugh, be happy, hurt, die or live. Words that are
spoken can not only kill others, but also kill themselves. People who talk
nonsense, promise one thing at a time, are no different from people who suck
poison. While others suffer, the poisoner does not escape.
People who are highly virtuous, their words, one word at a
time, are all meaningful, meaningful and valuable. What they spit out of their
mouths does not swallow. Even if what they say is exaggerated or wrong, they
are happy to take responsibility for what they say or promise. Some people only
consider a contract or contract on paper as a promise and obey. But for a
virtuous person, there is no need for a paper contract, just a frown is considered
valid.
These words and
promises are even more important in a collaborative business. Collaboration
requires trust, and if we talk from time to time, how can we be trusted? If no
one trusts us, how can we do great things? If you cannot follow the words that
come out of your own mouth, who can expect to cooperate with us? "Speech,
nation, manners, race" Have you ever heard this word before? What we say
reveals what we are all about. Some people come together when it is raining and
cold, but when the house collapses, they run away. This is not different from
our Khmer proverb that says, "Go into the forest, the beasts call each
other around when you get honey, honey and cheese alone." When there is a
problem, run for help, but when there is happiness, withdraw to be alone.
If we want to do
great things, we must also make ourselves important. Before saying anything,
before making a promise, we must think carefully. And after pouring out our
words, we must absolutely be responsible for that, respectfully fulfilling our
promises. Absolutely do not, because a few hundred dollars make it lose its
value or devalue itself. Our money is easier to earn than prestige. If there is
a lack of honour, people are waiting for support, and if there are people
waiting for support like this, why worry about the lack of money? So let us
always put the truth on our lips to cultivate our self-worth every day. Believe
me, if you do this, you will become a person of honour, reputation and value
worthy of admiration from all people.
